On the 30th of November, 2020 OPTS met with the PETAN to garner support in advocating for improved terms of the PIB. During the meeting, OPTS appreciated PETAN’s interest in meeting with OPTS and emphasized the need to have a common platform in addressing the fundamental issues facing the Nigerian oil and gas sector in relation to the PIB.
PETAN was appreciative of the presentation made by OPTS and requested for further analysis and submissions on the bill. They further encouraged OPTS to collaborate with PETAN frequently in the future.
