The cohesion among members make OPTS a credible voice in matters that affect the upstream oil and gas industry in Nigeria.
OPTS Guiding Principles
Associate
To become an Associate member, prospective applicants must be:
A private company incorporated in Nigeria
A member of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry
At least a registered holder and/or designated operator of an OPL or an OML
An equity owner in a venture actively producing crude oil or natural gas in Nigeria or pursuing an exploration or development programme for a minimum six month prior to the date of application
Directly responsible for the day-to-day management of its petroleum operations
Producer
To become a Producer member, prospective applicants must:
Meet all the conditions for Associate Member status
Be the designated operator of an OPL or OML which is actively producing crude oil or natural gas and has been doing so for a period of six months or more prior to the date of application
