OPTS Convenes EPC Roundtable to Address EPC Challenges in Nigeria’s Oil and Gas Sector September 2025

The Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS) hosted its inaugural Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Roundtable on September 4, 2025, to address key EPC-related challenges in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

The Roundtable provided a platform for industry stakeholders to collaboratively identify practical solutions to challenges affecting EPC participation and project delivery within the Nigenrian Oil & Gas sector.

Objectives of the engagement included showcasing improvements in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry and current project pipeline, identifying reasons behind EPCs exiting the Nigerian market, and understanding the conditions required to re-attract EPC contractors.

Participants also emphasized the need for a more collaborative approach among operators, EPC contractors, and Federal Government stakeholders.

As a key outcome, industry leaders agreed on a structured framework comprising leadership and working teams to drive solution implementation.

A clear commitment was also made to convene a follow-up EPC Roundtable in Nigeria in February 2026.
